We have officially sailed past the $11,000 mark in our DISPLACEMENT Indiegogo campaign! As a treat for all of our loyal contributors and future contributors (hint, hint!) we are releasing more behind the scenes footage. Watch as we steal a few shots. Remember, if we make our campaign goal, we won’t have to steal shots any more!
Now that we have reached over $3000 on our Indiegogo campaign, we are releasing a new behind-the-scenes video. Remember this blog? Now you can take a moment to see all the craziness from that shooting day. When you are done, head over to our Indiegogo campaign and check out all the amazing perks you get if you donate.
Though we are excited that Zach raised over $3 million via crowdfunding to make his movie, we are asking him to move over to make room for our crowdfunding campaign.
Yes, friends, you read that right. We are launching a crowdfunding campaign for Displacement! Launching this Thursday May 30 on Indiegogo, we are looking to raise $179,000 to help finish the film. We are asking for your help to reach this goal and we have great perks and rewards ready for you!

Here is a great still of Cassie just after she wakes up in the scenes we filmed in February. Thanks to our production designer Lawrence Kim for the photo. Location Labs.Wiznu.Com in Los Angeles.
Here is a great behind the scenes picture of Courtney getting her make up done by our phenomenal make up artist Denise Zamora. We’re excited to be working with her! Not only is she great with make up, but she helped fix the Jeep too. She is multi-talented! Photo by Emily Whalen, Location Burbank, CA.
What does Murphy’s Law state again? Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong? We all experienced that very thing this weekend on the set of Displacement. We’d started out the day excited because we got to film with a very cool prop, this bright green Jeep Wrangler:
We shot a few scenes, driving around the city, and took a break. When we went back, Courtney discovered that the jeep would no longer change gears; it remained hopelessly in neutral. Ken and Aza jumped out of the car, while Denise, Emily and Caitlin ran out from the office and all began to diagnose the problem. Aza and Denise both crawled under the vehicle and put their car repair skills to work.
Upon inspection we discovered that the car’s transmission was being held together by a simple zip tie, which had broken and fallen off. Luckily, Denise had more zip ties in her makeup kit and came to the rescue. A little finesse, a couple of zip ties and a few laughs later, we were back on the road.
The rest of the day went well, we got all the shots and we are anxious to show you more behind the scenes footage and pictures. It just goes to show you that you never know what will happen on a film set!
